Integrated Knowledge Translation & Implementation Science

In real life, even with the best intention, research knowledge may fall through the cracks and not be used. In some situations, an active intervention is needed to close the gaps. These types of interventions, when aimed to promote the systematic use of research knowledge in routine clinical practice or decision-making, are called Implementation Interventions. The study of these interventions is the main focus of implementation science.
