Sarah studied sport sciences at the Humboldt University of Berlin, the University of California, Davis, and the University of Potsdam, where she graduated with a Diplom in 2009. She joined Dr. Koehle’s laboratory at the University of British Columbia to study the effects of asthma medications on athletic performance for her M.Sc (2011). In her doctoral work, Sarah studied how physical activity in air pollution affects health. Currently, Sarah is a postdoctoral research fellow in the School of Kinesiology investigating the effects of exercise in diesel exhaust on cognition in Dr. Koehle’s lab, and the use of personalized medicine in the assessment of a healthy lifestyle intervention in children with obesity in Dr. Puterman’s lab.
