Physical activity has benefits for people of all ages and any level of ability. People living with disabilities sometimes experience unique challenges to engaging in physical activity, such as lack of access to the modifications or accommodations necessary to support participation. Research on the relationship between physical activity and health in the presence of physical, cognitive, or other disability is an important focus to fully understand how physical activity interventions affect the health of populations.
