Tom Nightingale is the recipient of a joint MSFHR/ICORD postdoctoral fellowship, working under the direction of Dr. Andrei Krassioukov. His prior research has focussed on the prediction of energy expenditure in specific population groups (i.e. individuals with spinal cord injury and amputees) by incorporating state of the art movement sensors and physiological variables. Tom’s primary research interests focus on the impact of physical disability on markers of metabolic and cardiovascular health and how these outcomes are modulated by physical activity.
