I am a cognitive neuroscientist in the Department of Psychology at the UBC. My laboratory is currently pursuing two lines of research. One concerns understanding how our level of neurocognitive engagement with the outside world naturally waxes and wanes over time as our minds wander, and how pathologies in this process may contribute to issues of mental and cognitive health. The other centers on how physical activity, diet, and sleep patterns impact neurocognitive function, and how understanding these relationships can be leveraged to support public health and education.
