Dr. Søren Skou

Associate Professor

Dr. Søren T. Skou is an Associate Professor at the University of Southern Denmark and head of a multiprofessional research group at Næstved-Slagelse-Ringsted Hospitals. He has vast experience within the field of early treatment of knee pain and has been the primary investigator of three high-quality randomized controlled trials on the treatment of knee pain, one of which was published in The New England Journal of Medicine (impact factor: 64.20). Dr. Skou is one of the main architects of the implementation of the highly successful treatment program Good Life With osteoarthritis in Denmark (GLA:D®) for patients with knee and hip osteoarthritis. He is also a recipient of an ERC Starting Grant from the European Research Council and the prestigious Sapere Aude Research Talent Award from the Independent Research Fund Denmark.
