Daniel Naiman


Regional Physical Activity Lead

Daniel Naiman, MSc., is the regional physical activity lead for Vancouver Coastal Health Authority. Daniel has always been passionate about the promotion of physical activity, having gained a BSc. in Human Kinetics and an MSc. in Epidemiology (with a focus on school-based physical activity promotion). After spending some time working as a researcher in this area, Daniel shifted to working in the non-profit and then government sectors where his work is now heavily focused on trying to translate research into practice in order to achieve meaningful shifts in population physical activity levels. In his current capacity, Daniel works with health professionals, community organizations, schools, local governments, and ministry representatives to try and improve the health of BCs population.
